‘Loggers of the Day’ Team-building
–
Axemen Production Ltd (APL)
Attractions of Team Building with APL:
The ‘Loggers of the Day’ arena contains a real element of "don't try this at home". The set up designed for team-building allows everyone to experience the thrill of the logger sports events in a safe and competitive atmosphere, which will excite and encourage participants. The chosen activities provide non-stop action to keep everyone entertained while competing or supporting.

The events are challenging and, contrary to popular belief, each event takes more than just strength, so that everyone has the chance to excel. After the teams have been formed it will be up to the members to decide which individuals will participate in each event in order for the team to maximize its chance of winning.
Competition set up;
The group will be divided into teams of two or more loggers who will subsequently compete against the other teams for the ‘Loggers of the Day’ title. The event is formatted so there is a clear winner at the end of the day.
After the events have been demonstrated, the teams will be asked to
Designate their loggers to compete in each event. Let the games begin! As the results unfold, the teams will realize the importance of the choices they have made and will be called upon to show sportsmanship in both winning and losing situations. APL will be there to run the events, give expert instruction and safety advice, and encourage the new loggers in a friendly, fun and competitive environment. Whatever the size of the group, we keep a focus on the activities at hand so that everyone stays involved.

Pricing
Before the day, we will discuss the number and type of events to be run, depending on your group size, the location and the time available. These decisions will also affect the number of Kiwi Loggers needed to run the event successfully. We recommend a minimum of three Kiwi Loggers, each charged at $750 excl. gst, ($1500 min charge). Depending on location, accommodation and travel expenses may be added.
Events
Axe Throw - The loggers throw a double-headed axe from 20 feet, aiming at a bull's-eye target. Always a huge favourite with the crowd, the best score out of three throws wins.
Chainsaw Race - Using a Stihl stock saw, two teams race against each other to saw through a 15" log . This event is timed and the team with the faster time is the winner.
Double Buck - Two loggers saw together using a 7' crosscut handsaw to cut through a 15" log. This event requires teamwork and harmony. This is a great event for the supporters to cheer on their team members!
Dot Split – A small dot is painted on a round block of wood, two teams race to split the block of wood cutting the paint 4 times, so as to end up with 4 pieces of wood with paint on them. This is run on time and fastest time wins. Hand eye co-ordination is the key element here.
Flexibility
All the events can be easily changed, added to or excluded to suit the group at hand.
The events can be held inside and out, so weather is not a problem.
We cater for up to 100 delegates.
What a couple have had to say about ‘Loggers of the Day’:
Matt Keen (Sales and Marketing Manager) - Goughs/CAT
‘Goughs looks forward to continuing our partnership with Kiwi Loggersports in the future and I would recommend Kiwi Loggersports as an excellent way of adding value to any company display at trade exhibitions.’
(80 Delegates!)
Mary-Claire Heasley (Marketing Services Manager) - Stihl Ltd.
‘Stihl is to engage Kiwi Loggersports to perform at our own company event early in 2006. Only the highest calibre of entertainment is booked for such an event and even more so for the 2006 conference as it will be attended by a V.I.P guest (the owner of the Company).’
